My experiences at Hertzog Eye Care have been fantastic. The staff is friendly and caring. Tests are completed quickly and efficiently. Dr. H. Dieter Hertzog is extremely knowledgeable and listens to his patients. Dr. Hertzog always has a warm greeting and immediately puts patients at ease. Dr. Ryan performed one of my exams. He was also very easy to talk to and explained things as the exam progressed. The surgical coordinator Marisela was wonderful. She was so kind and was always available for questions. I would definitely recommend Hertzog Eye Care.

I highly recommend Hertzog Eye Care. The front desk reception staff are always nice, smiling, professional, and very helpful. Marisela was especially helpful explaining the pre-op and post-op surgery process. She made sure I understood everything and even told me to call her anytime if I had questions or needed help. Truly the best experience with an ophthalmologist I've had in over 70 years. I've worn glasses all my life and after cataract surgery and Toric lenses, I can see 20/20 in both eyes. Dr. Hertzog and staff are the epitome of customer service and care. The office is well staffed, has state of the art equipment, and wait times are almost non-existent. At age 75, a growing cataract in my left eye had become intolerable. I went to the Hertzog Eye Care center in Long Beach and was examined by a very professional and efficient staff. I was further examined and consulted with Leif M. Hertzog, M.D. After discussing my condition he recommended the “Vivity extended Depth of Focus Lens.” The surgery was completed at “Surgery Center of Long Beach,” which is located across the street from Memorial Hospital on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach.
