The follow-up appointment was equally informative, with a detailed breakdown of each step in the post-recovery process. I’ve never encountered a better eye care team than Newsome Eye.
I’m giving Newsom Eye in South Tampa three stars because the medical staff has always been professional, friendly, and attentive, and I have been pleased with the care I’ve received. Unfortunately, the experience at the downstairs reception desk has been consistently disappointing. The employee who has checked me in and taken my payment has been extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I only needed a simple eyeglass prescription, but this clinic turned it into a disorganized, costly nightmare. It’s interesting because my family have been here before and it wasn’t like that. Overcharging: They forced me to repeat glaucoma screenings three times and made me pay for duplicate tests that were done less than a month ago. Recently had cataract surgery and opted for the Light Adjustable Lenses. I was very nervous, but Dr. Szabo, Dr Ochs, Trish, and Juan were great through the entire process. It's amazing how well I can see now and love waking up without having to put on a pair of glasses! Didn't love wearing the "goggles" for 8 weeks though will say it was worth it.
Most amazing experience ever. Amazing staff and doctors. I have been wearing prescription glasses for 57 years. I had cataract surgery from this amazing team. Now I have 20/20 vision!
