Sugiki Portis Eye Center

Front staff were great but I was here for nearly 3 hours. My appointment was at 2:15, and I did see another technician for my eye exam (who was great) but Dr. Portis did not get to me until 4:40 (and still had other patients to attend to after me), so I felt like I was rushed and he was dismissive trying to just get me out so he could go home. He cut me off mid sentence more than once.

I was very pleased with my experience at Sugiki Portis Eye Center. My visits and treatments with Dr. Jon Portis were a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism, compassion, and care. Dr. Portis and his staff made me feel that I was in safe hands. Flew to Hawaii without my glasses or spare contacts. Naturally, got an eye infection on the flight over and thus, was stuck without any way to see! They squeezed me in same day (by a stroke of luck) and helped me out immensely. Got a full eye exam for glasses and was able to go to lens crafters to get a pair first thing in the morning. I had been wearing glasses since I was in Kindergarten and I really wanted to get Lasik eye surgery. I was very hesitant because of the fear of what could go wrong. I had LASIK done from Dr. Portis on 6/23/16 and the result is extraordinary! I am still in shock that I can see so well! My eyes were really, really bad. I wore glasses since the 1st grade. Remember the glasses with the really thick frames AND lens, I had those! Dr. Portis makes you feel so comfortable and is very informative from start, during, to finish. The procedure itself doesn't take very long, and like I said, I am truly amazed at the results. I highly recommend Dr. Portis for LASIK or any other eye care needs.
