I highly recommend Des Moines Eye Surgeons! Dr. Raecker and his team are all so patient, kind and willing to answer any questions or concerns one may have. All of the staff are warm, welcoming and extremely competent. I knew I was in good, capable hands for my two corneal tissue transplant surgeries. Dr. Raecker is the best, supported well by his Assistant Bre! Highly recommended!

I also experienced having to go through several people before seeing a rushed doctor. The facility responded to a previous review and said it is so the doctor can take more time reviewing tests and on the exam itself; however, the whole reason for my visit was because I am experiencing a problem with my vision. It was clear the doctor never read any of the paperwork I submitted explaining the problem and tried to rush me out the door before talking about the problem at all whatsoever. A very good experience for my cataract surgery. Dr. Blodi did a superb job from the initial exam all the way through surgery. Everybody was very nice and went out of their way to make me comfortable. I’m new to Iowa and this was my first eye appointment here. It’ll also be the last. I’m not sure if this is a policy in Iowa but having to go in with 3 different people to get tested, go back to the waiting room twice and then being rushed by the Dr., but I’ll definitely not be returning. I’m used to being with 1 medical person and 1 doctor in the same room to have everything done. Not having to go back and forth twice.
