Unfortunately my experience with Bagan Strinden Vision was not the experience that most had. I had both cataract surgery and contact lens/vision care here. Dr. Winkels was good pre-, during and after surgery. However, when my vision got worse after surgery, I was given a ridiculing response from both Dr. Winkels & Dr. Swanholm, & her nurse. In decades of vision care, I have never seen Drs. or staff that unnecessarily demeaning when there was no reason to be. I had such an incredible experience with Dr. Winkles + team! Mel was an angel and made me feel so comfortable from the consult to the surgery. Dr. Winkles explained the procedure in depth and made me feel at ease going into it. I am so impressed with this entire team and I am so thankful for my new lasik vision!
After telling us our insurance was good they sent us a bill telling us they didn't take our insurance. Even after discussing the issue with them. they are still making us pay the full price they billed insurance even if we paid cash.
