The receptionist, assistant/nurse, the Fellow doctor, and Dr. Manche were all pleasant, professional, patient, clear in their questions and explanations, and made me feel heard and cared for. It was a great visit. Many thanks.
I got laser a year ago and absolutely would do it again (but hopefully will never need to!) Dr. Manche was excellent - professional and skilled and very kind and will answer any concerns or questions you have and give honest recommendations. I felt like there was no one I trusted with my vision more than Dr. Manche, and my laser outcome was fabulous. Minimal side effects during the recovery period, and now I’m better than 20/20 with zero side effects! The staff all are very kind as well, and good at what they do. Nothing bad to say at all.
I had a great experience with Dr. Manche, freeing me from having to wear glasses. He evaluated me carefully and found my corneas couldn't get Lasik safely but could do an alternative called PRK. He shared a research article showing Lasik and PRK work equally well that he actually published; he's truly an expert on eye surgery. He was also professional and friendly and I've recommend him to multiple friends.
I just got Lasik done. Dr. Manche and his staff are world class! Everything was painless and pleasant: the consultation, pre-op, surgery, and post-op. I could not recommend him enough--it will change your life!
I got LASIK a couple weeks ago at the Stanford Eye Laser Center. I cannot relate to the recent negative NYTimes article on eye surgery called "Blurred Vision, Burning Eyes: This Is a Lasik Success?" at all which is why I felt compelled to write my review. The surgery itself, despite being somewhat scary since you have to be conscious the whole time, only led to about three hours of pain which occurred right after and I felt like my eyes were on fire (I exaggerate - it's a burning sensation).
