1-7 update. Wait was extremely long, been here and hour and still haven't seen thw doctor. They obviously overbook appts. Wait is not long, dr is great but they don't give prescriptions for eye glasses, so basically u get a full eye exam that they can obviously give and rx for yet they do not so u have to go elsewhere to get an rx for glasses eventhough they do an exam...ridiculous, most likely our last visit here for my stepfather. Staff is great. Only complaint is they don't give prescriptions!

I was at work in from Blountstown, Florida and they got me in promptly with excellent care and bedside manner. Dr. Amanda Matthews and her team were amazing!

I was referred to Palmer Eye Center in April for cataract removal and lens implantation in my right eye. The surgery itself went smoothly, the staff was friendly, and the procedure was quick and efficient. Initially, I was very pleased. At my one-week follow-up, I reported ongoing problems with focus, visual distortion, and poor image quality. I went to this office and Amanda Mathews and all the actual staff are more than awesome. I had a bad eye problem and was having to be seen more than once or twice a week. I'm self employed so some days I was late but always paid my late fees and all was good. Now my last apt I couldn't make because I was sick from 30 yrs being a type 1 diabetic and having hand surgery, now, the supposed top dude in the office which now refused to let me see them from one missed apt. I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to today. My mother has seen Dr. Matthews for years and she is absolutely amazing. The reason for the one star review is the front desk staff, Mya (Mia). Not sure how it spelled. She has the absolute WORST attitude with patients and staff. I have sat in the lobby while she has been nasty with patients. I feel awful for some of these elderly patients. Dr. Matthews did a superb cataract surgery on both eyes. I have never seen very clearly and I must say when I open my eyes in the morning and see sharp and clear I am over-joyed!! She chose the perfect lenses and prescription for me. Her bedside manner is wonderful, always cheerful and positive. She truly takes the best care of her patients. The procedure was painless. I highly recommend Amanda Matthews for cataract surgery! She's excellent!!
