My family and I recently celebrated the 250th birthday of our country by visiting Boston for the first time. Right after we arrived, my daughter damaged a lens from the only pair of contact lenses she brought on the trip. I contacted Forefront Eye Care (close to our hotel) and spoke with Mike Gulla. I explained the situation, provided my daughter's prescription and information, and hoped that something could be done to help on short notice. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed by the overall experience. I was told I couldn’t purchase frames through my insurance unless I was also getting a prescription, which was very confusing. At almost every Eye care location, anyone and everyone is able to purchase frames; what if there is no prescription needed or to add? You don’t sell the frames then? It left me feeling like I wasn’t fully assisted or that there may have been a lack of flexibility in helping me find a solution.
I saw Dr Leach who was the most thorough of all optometrists in my 25+ years of getting annual eye exams with a heavy script and astigmatism, taking consideration of my concerns that were formerly overlooked by franchise outfits. The retail store has choice luxury eyewear with excellent staff on hand to guide the most appropriate selection. I will be going back.
I went to Forefront for glasses in September, and got some amazing glasses. Fast forward to April, and I accidentally broke them. I am blind without them. I was able to call this morning and they got me in right away to repair them. I was able to walk out a short time with my glasses. They really saved my day. Thanks Forefront!
I have sent them emails to receive my prescription twice because it wasn't given to me after my visit, if you have my email on file and i send you an email you should send people what they ask for. Also got turned away when i tried to drop off my glasses to have them replace the lenses during posted business hours. I just want to get my prescription, it shouldn't be this complicated when one pays for the exam.
