I am first time new patient to New Eyes... all I can say is where have they been all my life? First impression when you walk in their lobby is it is immaculate and professiona. Modern efficient check-in on kiosk. No human acknowledgement of my presence though. Very short wait time to be called back. First person (she never said her name or had a nametag) took me to room. She spent 15 minutes focused on a computer. Not sure what exactly she was doing, since she never said. A few basic questions & eye tests, then to a different room, more hi-tech ...
New Eyes staff are courteous and professional. Dr. Austin was thorough and explained my issues carefully. I was given a follow-up appointment and I am grateful for the meticulous care. My only suggestion is to offer sun glasses for those with dilated eyes.
This place is a hard pass for me. Meadows eye refered me to New Eyes. They requested I fill out paperwork online. Gave my Medicare supplement Medicare online. Filled out phone, email, etc, I arrive 10 minutes early 4 ladies behind the counter three are laughing and chatting one is on the phone. One of them turns around I'm holding my cards in my hand she says you need to use the keyosk okay. Such a lovely warm welcome kind Of like swatting a fly away lol yes I was the fly. Keyosk asks all the same questions I filled out online. Plus scanning my cards. ...
Always so friendly and professional. I saw Dr. Austin who had an amazing bed side manner. He was very thorough in my examination and explained everything to me without being in a rush. Definitely would recommend him and this office.
Had cataracts removed and also lasix surgery on both eyes, paid cash, VERY EXPENSIVE, but I felt the outcome was great. Everyone was nice, until my 6 month check up, they informed me that I had to pay an astronomical price, which I was told was part of the procedure as follow up. So another words, they just wash their hands of you, and wish you good luck! To me, not a great customer service, after such a high amount of monies paid. New Eyes is awesome! IMO, Dr. Kaufman is one of the few great doctors in Las Vegas. Staff are also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend New Eyes to anyone experiencing eye problems. Also, they have multiple locations in the Valley for easier access.
