This doctor office is quite pathetic. I have never seen any doctor office canceling the appointment last minute just for money. I had a surgery tomorrow after lens replacement and this office canceled my appointment and called me to pay the small previous balance or there is no need to come to surgery center tomorrow. They just canceled my appointment 12 hour before the surgery. Dr. Carter was the one who did the lens replacement surgery on my both eyes. Did the consultation with its testing, fees, and so forth. I had my first surgery yesterday getting the worst done first. It was just over a 2 hour process and went well. I went in for first post op today and all was fine per the different "Hoyles" I dealt with. Slight blurriness and little to ni itching. All of the staff i have dealt with do their functions professionally and are courteously communicative. I drove home without any sight aides other than dun glasses because of the bright July Texas sun.

I came here years ago, and it was so stressful/terrible. They did not verify my insurance before my visit. They then had to reschedule part of my visit last minute. Then they made me wait over an hour and a half to verify my insurance before the visit, as I refused to be seen without verifying my estimated costs. Then when I was seen, I received a huge bill due to the facility not billing the visit correctly, even after I verified the clinic was in network and my costs were reasonable. I chose Carter Eye Center because I had always heard about it. At the first consultation my situation was explained to me. I had a genetic disorder that was going to make surgery critical.
