Ophthalmology Associates of San Antonio

Every experience I've had as a patient at Ophthalmology Associates of San Antonio has been outstanding! Their front desk staff members are both professional and personable, and make my visits enjoyable with their conversation. Dr. Salazar is the finest ophthalmologist I've ever seen! He takes time with me, explains everything in detail, and has a great bedside (chairside!) manner. Highly recommend!

2nd appt with Dr. Clark and both times we’ve had to wait well over two hours just to be see him. And not because Dr. Clark is busy with patients, but because he doesn’t show up on time. Very unprofessional and zero consideration for his patients. As I’m writing this review his nurse just came to apologize for the wait (because there is a handful of patients in the waiting room) and if we would like to reschedule because they have called him to no avail and they have no idea when he plans to grace us with his presence. Doctor Campagna saved my vision from a rapidly increasing eye disease I didn’t know I had. A month before, I saw an eye doctor on sunset in Alamo Heights who put me through the usual impersonal circuit of techs and only suggested cataract surgery. He never caught the closed angle glaucoma. They make you wait forever. Waited 45 mins to be placed in another room to then wait another 30 minutes to see the doctor. The parking situation is also annoying . I wouldn’t choose this location again. They have all these patients booked and only one doctor.

The office is very clean and The ladies at the counter are Always very professional like Alexandria. Sophie retired unfortunately.Dr. Mark Anderson he’s very competent and answers my many questions.
