Virginia Eye Consultants

I have been a patient of Virginia Eye Consultants for four years now. I have seen several doctors in that facility and appreciate all they have done for my glaucoma. I recommend this facility for any eye problem needed. I see Dr. Andrew Pittner at the Great Neck office. This doctor has my complete confidence. He cares about his patients and takes his time at each visit, listening and explaining everything in detail. I also like the staff there, they are very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

Doctor could not correctly do a small procedure/incision on my eyelid. Paid my money for small procedure on the eyelid, unsatisfied by results as the operation was not even done like how other professionals do it , and have published online. I still have chalazion on my eyelid. After procedure doctor told me he could not help me further. I thought this procedure was fairly simple but some doctors don't have the expertise ,even when your under the impression that they do.

I’m not sure what her name was, but the receptionist taking care of my phone call was exceptionally rude. There was a misunderstanding with my insurance, and my insurance called this office to clarify, and the woman who answered the phone just hung up. This was after she was very rude with me on the phone prior to my insurance calling Here. I work in the customer service industry myself, this kind of behavior is unacceptable

Beware: Up codes insurance for produres-- greed. I had 5 minute botox injections around eyes for eyelid spasms in office seat. They coded insurance to an surgical procedure of thousands $$$$ and I was responsible for unreasonable 20% copay. Year later I visit again for same issue OF eyes staying closed. Doctor refused giving botox until previous overcharged bill is paid. Could not tell me what I own. Gave me a credit collection business card. Not compatient to matter botox helps me see. God has His vengeance to rich and greedy. I will continue to ...

I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at the Great Neck location. The staff were very pleasant. I saw Dr Zahn for a procedure in which the office failed to get an approval for prior to my appointment. After sitting in a waiting area for over 30 minutes, a staff member came and applied numbing drops in my eye said the doctor will see me in about 20 minutes. A staff member called me to the office to request a co-payment and said the total amount was due today . No payment arrangements...no partial payment. I felt that should have taken place ...
