My insurance pays for my annual eye exam. They refused to actually bill the insurance for the eye exam part, leaving a balance. I spoke with my insurance and they stated if they’d bill for the exam it would be paid. I informed the billing department this and they still wouldn’t bill them. I went in for a medically required appointment and was told that the notes in their system states I said I’d pay the balance, which was never stated. The check-in process was very efficient and the waiting period seemed to have been shortened. My appt was at 0950am and I was out of there by 11am. My previous doctor, Dr. Hansen has retired and I'm happy to say that my new doctor , Dr. B. Lee was as nice and interactive as Dr. Hansen. His asst was also nice. Most of the eye techs I met were also very nice and courteous. I have been a patient at Shepherd Eye for at least 15 yrs and I will continue to do so. Heloise E.

I had my first experience at the Shepherd Eye Center and what a great experience it was. The entire staff was so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable throughout my time there. The customer service in this place is unbelievable. From the nurses to the doctor! Everyone was extremely polite, efficient and helpful. The doctor was so kind and made my nervous baby feel soooooo much better. I can honestly say this is the best experience ive had with doctors in a long time.

If I could rate in the negative I would. This is the third time I have been at my mom's eye doctor in two months and to watch the front counter lady be rude and disrespectful to seniors is disgusting. I have never been to a doctor's office who doesn't great you when you walk in. This lady walks away and if she is on the phone she is absolutely rude to whoever she is talking to. I get it you have computers for the patients to scan their id and insurance cards into, so why pay an employee to be rude to your patients. She will go out of her way to walk away ...

As a new patient at Shepard's eye center, I found the entire experience to be very pleasant. The whole process of checking in and being evaluated was efficient, fast and very courteous. The staff members were exceptional in their customer service and treatment of me, the patient. Everything was explained in simple English and very clear to understand. The doctor was extremely competent and professional while still being friendly and courteous. I would recommend this facility to anyone I know that is in need of optical services .
