When I went to my first appointment for my cataract surgery I felt seen and acknowledged from the moment I entered. The staff was thorough in preparing me for what to expect. They also made themselves available by phone when I had additional questions. I felt taken care of in every way. The surgery itself went so smoothly and the nurses, and staff were kind and attentive. I was very anxious before getting the cataract removed from my right eye but all went well so when it came to getting my left eye done, I wasn’t apprehensive at all. From the moment you walk in the door you are put at ease. The procedure is explained step by set and I was assured I wouldn’t feel anything and it was true! I would recommend Utah Eye Center in Ogden. To anyone who is having Cataract surgery. When I went to the facility to have my surgery I was nervous. The staff members understood how I was feeling and reassure me that everything was going to be ok. They answer all my questions and took the time to explain how the process works and treated me with kindness. Dr Hansen was fantastic, couldn’t recommend him more. He and his staff made the process so simple and ensured I was aware of what to expect and explained everything is a calming way. I highly recommend him and Utah eye center.

Good experience. The young lady tech that did the refraction was very pleasant, attentive and competent. Dr. Poll took the time to address all of my concerns and it didn't feel at all rushed. He thoroughly examined my eyes and artificial lens trying to discover the cause of the issues I was experiencing. I overheard his assistant quietly mention to Dr. Poll that I'm a self payer and he had her use a different billing code that has a lower fee which I appreciated.

I did not feel that the doctor or the assistant showed much concern during my visit. The appointment felt more like a routine checkup than a personalized patient experience. I would have appreciated more education about my condition and the opportunity to have a meaningful discussion rather than simply being taken through the standard process. Additionally, I was not informed in advance about the eye solution that was being administered or any precautions or potential effects associated with it.
